A few decades ago, a group of volunteers in the City recognized the need to assist in expanding and maintaining some of the garden spaces on public land around town.  This group became known as the “Beautification Committee.”  They planted flowers, weeded, mulched, watered and in general maintained several spaces throughout the community.

Unfortunately, as time passed, this group aged and the numbers have subsequently been reduced.
